The Miami-Dade County Clerk was elected to the Office of the Clerk in November, 1992 and was re-elected in 1996 and 2000. the Clerk serves as the following: Ex-Officio Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners, County Recorder, County Auditor, Custodian of all County Funds, and the Custodian of all records filed with the Court. The Clerk is assisted in fulfilling his duties by his Senior Management Team (Three Senior Deputy Clerks); Division Chiefs; and a staff of more than thirteen hundred full and part-time employees. The Clerk's Office is dedicated to providing support to the court system and professional service to the public, the judiciary, the legal community and the County Commission.
The Community can obtain, search, and acquire Traffic Online Services, Enforcement Records, Recorded Documents, Mortgage Foreclosure, Online Forms, Criminal Records, Criminal & Civil Infraction Cases, Birth/Death Certificate Info, Marriage License Info., and get Value Adjustment Board Info. Parking and Traffic tickets can be paid at the Clerks office and small claim may be filed as well. The clerk also offers services in Child Support/Alimony, Passport Services, Jury Service, and Marriage License. For those who are experiencing Domestic Violence they can obtain paperwork at the Clerk’s office and will be assisted in completing a petition for an injunction.
